Desperate Dogs Determined Measures

Bound Angels Blog

I can’t tell you how many people have asked me to teach them how to do what I do or to write a book on the topic.  Well, for the last year I’ve been doing both: I’ve been working with shelters teaching them the system that I’ve used to save dogs condemned to death and I’ve been writing my book –  Desperate Dogs Determined Measures.

Last week I finished the book and it’s now available online and in stores around the US by special order.  The book, Desperate Dogs Determined Measures delves into the most difficult dogs and shows effective solutions to training, evaluating and helping these dogs.  Shelters don’t have weeks to dedicate to training, sometimes it’s a matter of hours to see if the dog can be saved. Desperate Dogs takes this into consideration and offers life-saving techniques that are geared at the shelters trying to save these “difficult dogs.”

Dogs are often doomed through faulty temperament tests, a topic that is discussed in the book as well.  Then there are the dogs that exhibit behaviors including shut-down, fear, aggression, dominance, food issues, dog aggression and so much more.  Basically everything I’ve taught, discussed and learned over the years in working with shelter dogs is contained in the pages of this book.  It’s over 250 pages and is filled with so much information that “it should be on the desk of every shelter manager and/or shelter behaviorist.”

If you would like some more information on this book, you can visit the books page on Bound Angels.org by clicking here.  Or visit the publisher’s page on Lulu.com by clicking here.

Read more on the book and then recommend it to anyone you know that works in the shelters or in rescue.  If you’d like more information on our shelter rescue work, please visit the site and look for our “shelter rescue” tab under resources.
